What is Clinical Psychology? Clinical Psychology includes a formal psychological assessment, usually followed by treatment recommendations, that may involve psychological therapy, such as CBT or psychotherapy. Who goes to see a Clinical Psychologist? People ask to see Clinical Psychologists for a wide variety of reasons, usually if they need a formal assessment, diagnosis, or report. What conditions do you treat? Yes, if you or a third party require a written report as part of your assessment, you will usually receive this within 7 days of attending your appointment. How much will it cost?

Sessions are charged at £96 per hour and any additional report writing is usually charged at an hourly rate.

Depending on the type of assessment and report required, this typically ranges between 4 and 8 hours. Any additional therapy recommended as part of the treatment is charged at £50 per session.

How can I be referred?

You can simply contact Cambridge Therapy Centre yourself and ask for an appointment. We may then ask you to tell us a little more about your reasons for seeking the appointment. If you prefer, you can also ask to be referred by a third party, such as your GP or occupational health provider, who will then write to us and tell us the reasons for the referral. How is Clinical Psychology regulated?
